How to Build Your Lash Map

How to Build Your Lash Map

A lash map is simply a plan for where you want the most definition. You do not need a complicated formula—start with the direction you want your eye shape to take.

Start at the centre

Place a small amount of definition near the centre first. This gives you an anchor point and makes it easier to see what the overall look needs next.

Build toward the effect you want

For a brighter, open-looking direction, keep the focus close to the centre. For a longer, lifted direction, gradually move more definition toward the outer half.

Keep transitions soft

Avoid making one area suddenly much fuller than the next. Build in small steps so the shape reads as one smooth line from a normal viewing distance.

Check both eyes as you go

After each small adjustment, look straight ahead. A simple pause between steps is the easiest way to keep the two sides feeling balanced.

Your map can change

The same style can feel different depending on placement. Give yourself permission to keep it soft one day and build it a little more the next.
